We created two helpcard tools, one for each of the issues I mentioned above. They are meant to work together.
The first, written by business strategist and and author Robert Bacal, provides a comprehensive model for An Integrated Strategic Planning approach. It maps out the steps in the strategic planning process. It's complete. You may choose to simplify it for others, but it explains the entire process, and all the interconnections of plans and business processes.
What's different about an INTEGRATED model is that it brings together strategic and tactical planning under one umbrella, so that strategic plans can be USED to make day to day decisions.
